Basket Mill is a batch process machine for size reduction & dispensing of paints, inks, coatings consisting of a grinding vessel inside which rotates a shaft fitted with an impeller disc. Basket mill is used for materials with viscosity less than 5000 cps, with comparatively high requirements of final grinding result or with many varieties such as industrial paint, colour paste, emulsion paint, water-borne ink, fertilizer suspension, etc. In Basket mill, the grinding media and the charged materials are filled into the vessel & the shaft is run at a very high speed for a particular time till dispersion is achieved.

Basket mills are very fast-running mills in fixed design with extremely variable speed adjustment by static frequency converter for the discontinuous fine dispersing & fine grinding in the batch production system.
In a Basket mill, the rotating motor drives the pins and dispersing disc to rotate at high speed making the upper part of the dispersing disc and inner grinding chamber become vacuum. Then slurry material is inhaled into grinding chamber driven by the driving pin inside the chamber produces force in all directions putting materials under the action of constant collision and friction to smaller the particle size and narrow the particle size range.
